Tele-Traffic Gets a Big Thumbs Up from Florida Safety Council
“One-Tap App” Means you keep your eyes on the road!
Longwood, FL – A statistic released by the National Safety Council in January of 2010, claims that 28% of all traffic crashes are from cell phone use. “At least 1.6 million crashes involve drivers using cell phones and texting.” With technology becoming more mainstream in the hands of all commuters, CEO of Tele-Traffic Brett Milove says “People are going to use their phones, it’s inevitable. Everything is moving to your phone and we are very proud of the fact that we have developed a product that keeps your eyes on the road and gives you continuously updated, vital traffic information here in Central Florida.”
Glenn Victor with the Florida Safety Council agrees that the ability to keep your eyes on the road is something other traffic apps fail to provide to the user. “It’s sure safer than an app that requires a driver to type, pinch, or slide something on their phone to get traffic information”, he said. “Used properly, the one-tap feature is really no different than turning on the radio or adjusting the air conditioner in the car.” The Tele-Traffic app is constantly updated with traffic information as conditions change. Milove says, “as well as being safer than any other app, we can provide you things that other apps cannot. Such as detailed traffic information, travel times, and alternate routes.”
As download numbers increase, the “number of hits” per day is rapidly climbing to an impressive 100,000 with just 3 weeks of being in operation. “What this is telling us, is that the users of our application keeps coming back to the app as they travel down the road.” Milove says, “This is exactly what we were hoping for, this is why we update our traffic reports constantly.”
